We have recently enhanced our service to provide professional and collective advocacy for parents who have a learning disability.
Our core business will be to provide independent advocacy, concerning parenting and also child protection, to parents who have a learning disability and who live in South Lanarkshire.
We also hope to facilitate regular collective advocacy groups in local areas which will be specific to parenting and will provide peer support, knowledge and learn exchange opportunities.
Advocacy skills and assertiveness training sessions will also be made available to all group members.
